After Rain (at Tiffany Falls)
Tiffany Falls is a popular conservation area in Hamilton Ontario. I am fortunate that it is a quick 15 min drive from my front door. I frequently visit the area as its large landforms and flowing river ignite my imagination and provide many varied subjects. This piece was painted entirely on location, outdoors, en plein air.
This scene featured here I captured the fullness of the river that runs from the waterfall. After rain, this river fills and rushes through crags and rocks, around logs and under bridges. The trees mimic umbrellas in the rain.
Its a lovely soft green and lilac palette which will complement any decor from a warm wall to a neutral theme.
This original painting is20” high and 16” wide with a depth of 1.5”. The artwork wraps halfway around the edges which are then finished in black. This provides a clean, finished, high-end look and makes the work ready to display without the need for a frame.
