Who is Canadian Artist, Cheryl-Ann Hills

Artist Statement

I am Cheryl Ann Hills, a Canadian artist called by the quiet language of nature and the unseen landscapes of the soul. My work is a meditation—a visual echo of wind through cedar, the hush before snowfall, the strange clarity of dreams. I paint not what I see, but what I feel moving beneath the surface.

Through abstract minimalism and surreal landscapes, I explore the delicate balance between presence and impermanence, form and formlessness—blending natural elements, memory, and emotion into visual narratives that are both intimate and expansive. Each piece is an offering: a moment held still, a fragment of story told in color, texture, and breath. Rooted in the rhythms of the land and created with a reverence for the Earth, my art is always original, always one-of-a-kind.

I believe in the quiet power of images to open us, to ground us, and to remind us of the sacredness that lives just beneath the everyday. This is not just art—it is a way of seeing, a way of remembering, a way of returning home.
