September Sky on Oak Island
In 2023 I joined a group of artists, all members of the Ontario Society of Artists for a week long retreat on Oak Island, Parry Sound Ontario. I was a fabulous week of quiet art creation and nature observation. I awoke one morning to find the most spectacular cloud formations hovering over the water and I scrambled to grab my paints and head to the far side of the island. Painted entirely outdoors on location, “September Sky” is my interpretation of the morning sky I witnessed on Oak Island.
