Spring Arrival Study
This is a watercolour and ink sketch on 60lb mixed media paper. These types of sketches are done to work out ideas on a smaller scale before committing to a large canvas. Often there are adjustments made from the sketch to the final canvas. In this case, most of the shapes, lines and colours of this sketch were transferred over to the final piece.
This original watercolour sketch is 11” high and 14” wide. ALL artwork in the Sketches, Drawings and Experiments section arrive without frames or hanging hardware. Small work is shipped flat in padded envelopes. Larger works are rolled and shipped in a tube. However, if you prefer, I can source framing for you and provide that as an add-on option.
