The Gift, a Watercolour Study
A few years ago I was gifted a bouquet of yellow tulips. They were beautiful and perfect as a fresh display of flowers. A couple weeks later they became interesting and broody, worthy of a capture in paint. If I do a floral piece its usually flowers that have aged, have character and interesting shapes, colours and lines. Perfection is overrated. Its our flaws that make us unique and valuable.
This original water-based inks sketch is 22” high and 15” wide. ALL artwork in the Sketches, Drawings and Experiments section arrive without frames or hanging hardware. Small work is shipped flat in padded envelopes. Larger works are rolled and shipped in a tube. However, if you prefer, I can source framing for you and provide that as an add-on option.
