Morning Joy in Elora
Painted at the base of the Elora gorge in 2025 during a plein air painting event, this piece was inspired by the brilliant glow of the sun as it lit the trees in the distance. Plein air artists will often search for the “wow” moment for their work. This one was there waiting when I descended the staircase down to the river.
This original water-based ink painting 16” high and 20” wide with a depth of 1.5”. The artwork wraps halfway around the edges which are then finished in black. This provides a clean, finished, high-end look and makes the work ready to display without the need for a frame.
