Indigo Cascade
I’ve done a few versions featuring the cascade of a waterfall. Its a symbol of a turning point in one’s life path, a move towards turbulent waters; perhaps. Or a move to deeper wells of meaning. This one was repainted. I was trying out a new process, laying down translucent colour over an existing work. Its a deep moody painting.
This piece is an experimental piece. Sometimes I will repaint a canvas when I want to try a new style, approach or process. So in a sense these are “prototypes” of work to follow.
The beautiful blue palette will complement any decor from a warm wall to a cool theme.
This original painting is 24” high and 24” wide with a depth of 1.5”. The artwork wraps halfway around the edges which are then finished in black. This provides a clean, finished, high-end look and makes the work ready to display without the need for a frame.
