Inhale Exhale - a Diptych
In spring 2024 I presented a solo exhibition at the Royal Rose Gallery; “Superior Moods”. The collection is inspired by a visit to the north shore of Lake Superior in the following year in early autumn. I was cloud watching over the big lake. And it did not disappoint. I created 7 large works and 9 “Wee Wons”, small 8” paintings on birch panels.
The work is created in a soft abstract style featuring flowing lines, cool hues and contemplative cloud shapes. The great part about collections is that they work well together. You can pair up two or more and they fit well together providing an impactful gallery wall. The large pieces can be paired with smaller pieces too!
This original painting is a diptych and comprises of two pieces, each are 30” high and 24” wide with a depth of 1.5”. The artwork wraps halfway around the edges which are then finished in black. This provides a clean, finished, high-end look and makes the work ready to display without the need for a frame.
