Autumn Falls
During a trip in 2022 in autumn I visited some of my favourite places and discovered a few new ones. This painting is inspired by Chippewa Falls found along the TransCanada Highway just 40 mins west of Sault Ste Marie. Chippewa Falls was famously painted by the Group of 7 artists and you’ll see a plaque on site commemorating the artist and their work.
My depiction of Chippewa Falls includes the bold colour of the trees and the deep purples of the rocks. The water cascading in two streams over the dark rocks. This is truly a slice of Canadiana.
The beautiful earthy palette will add zing to your room and is destined to become a conversation piece.
This original painting is 24” high and 36” wide with a depth of 1.5”. The artwork wraps halfway around the edges which are then finished in black. This provides a clean, finished, high-end look and makes the work ready to display without the need for a frame.
