High Hopes
Named after a song by Pink Floyd, High Hopes was the first large surrealist painting I created. Born from a simple pencil sketch and an imagined island of rock with hidden caves and dwellings on a beautiful clear lake, this painting has been in several exhibitions including the 2024 Open Juried Exhibition of the Ontario Society of Artists.
Look closely, you’ll find a waterfall spontaneously springs from the base of a tower. A small cave sits front and centre, a nice place to stay the night.
This beautiful cool palette surreal painting will become a focal point of your home and the subject of many lively conversations.
This original painting is 36” high and 36” wide with a depth of 1.5”. The artwork wraps halfway around the edges which are then finished in black. This provides a clean, finished, high-end look and makes the work ready to display without the need for a frame.
